Charmin-Ultra: Don't Squeeze Me

If you love someone, don't be shy to say it

Tonight I called my fiance to tell him that I love him after his first call to 'report' his day.
"How was your day?"
"Busy as usual"
"Okay I am tired and I am going to bed"
"Okay good night bye"
That was our conversation.

Hanging up the phone, I felt something was missing so I called him back and told him that I love him.
He was surprised but told me that I made his night.
His tone became soft and he told me that he loves me too.
So easy for me to do and yet I don't always do it.

In a relationship, it is easy to be 'too comfortable' or "too assuming". It is easy for us to forget that initial attraction between each other. How we fall in love in the first place. We then become idle. We start to lose the love we have for each other.

In high school, I read a poem, "When you are young, if you fall in love, please please treat him tenderly, no matter how long you are together. Then if one day you have to say good-bye, every moment will be unforgettable." It says how we need to treasure each moment we have with our love. I remember I made a vow to myself that I wanted to treasure every love that I received and to reciprocate. Yet, I am re-writing the vow that I made 18 years ago.

Love is such a beautiful thing. Let's not forget about it.
